The Tripod Spherometer is a precision measuring instrument used for determining the radius of curvature of spherical surfaces, as well as measuring the thickness of thin plates and small height differences with high accuracy.
The instrument consists of a rigid tripod frame with three fixed legs arranged at the corners of an equilateral triangle and a centrally located precision screw. The movement of the central screw is measured using a circular scale and a main scale, enabling highly accurate measurements.
